• • A counselor is a free world volunteer that goes into the prisons with us to share Jesus to the inmates.  The best way to describe our weekend is, it’s a missions trip to the mission field called Prison. By participating in one of our weekend events, called Weekends of Excitement, you will be able to minister one-on-one to the cell areas of the prison.  This is the highlight of our ministry because we believe in the power of relationship.  If we can become their friend and show them Jesus, there is a higher percentage they will connect to a church and never return to prison again. A counselor will come in with us on a Friday and Saturday and minister throughout the day, followed by an evening service. If you want to come in as a counselor, (click here).

• CAN I DO THIS? CAN I RELATE TO THEM?

We actually get asked this question a lot.  We understand that prison can sometimes be intimidating and you may not think you have anything to relate to an inmate.  What we have found is that prison is the easiest mission field to be a witness.  An inmate is just looking for someone to talk to about life and someone that’s authentic.  If you just come as you are and add Jesus to the mix you will fall in love with prison ministry.  Jesus tells us that if you have visited prison, then you have visited Me.  Give this mission field a chance and see how it will help you grow as a believer.
